Inspired by ancient civilisations and their rich symbolic systems, the series reflects on how cultural narratives endure, evolve, and continue to shape human identity.

Throughout history, identity has been communicated visually through dress, ornamentation, body art, and ritual. These practices, passed down through generations, remain powerful markers of belonging and self-expression.

Each piece is thoughtfully constructed using cardboard, paper, papier-mâché, fibres, and other natural or reclaimed materials. The inherent histories and traces of previous lives of these materials become integral to the work. Echoing memory, continuity, and the enduring presence of the past within human history.
