Exploring cultural identity through symbolic form, this series draws on ancient traditions and ancestral visual languages from across the world.

In a time when contemporary life often distances us from our origins, these works seek to re-establish a connection to heritage and collective memory. Inspired by ancient civilisations and their rich symbolic systems, the series reflects on how cultural narratives endure, evolve, and continue to shape human identity.

Throughout history, identity has been communicated visually — through dress, ornamentation, body art, and ritual. These practices, passed down through generations, remain powerful markers of belonging and self-expression.

The sculptures are created through an intuitive, hands-on process using cardboard, paper, papier-mâché, fibre, and other natural or reclaimed materials. Their raw, tactile quality references the material traditions of early societies, reinterpreted through a contemporary artistic lens.
